Jonathan Gertler is one of the leading personal injury trial lawyers in California. In 2006 Jon earned the Trial Lawyer of the Year Award from the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, and was a finalist for the "Consumer Attorney of the Year." He is also a recognized class action attorney, and is a Northern California Class Action Superlawyer.

Jon has successfully handled catastrophic injury and death cases for his clients since 1984. In his first year of practice, and his very first jury trial, Jon won a verdict of more than $1 million for a cement mason disabled in a construction accident. In recent jury trials, he has won verdicts of over $3.1 million in an aviation accident case and almost $9 million in a railroad crossing accident case. In his last consumer trial, Jon obtained a judgment worth nearly $12 million in consumer refunds, credits and fees. He is currently lead or co-counsel in wage-and-hour class actions against both small and large corporations, including Sun Microsystems, Duke Energy Corporation, and ADP.

Jon is also a leader in trial lawyer organizations. He is a past president and current president of Consumer Attorneys of Marin. In addition, he serves as officer and board member of San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and will assume the presidency of that organization in 2011. Jon is committed to providing legal help to the poor. He sits on the boards of Legal Aid of Marin and Bay Area Legal Aid. Jon regularly teaches at trial practice and class action seminars.
